Grand Marlin Restaurant Pensacola Beach
Enjoy beachfront luxury at Holiday Inn Resort Hotel, Hampton Inn Hotel and Hilton Gulf Front Hotel steps from the sugar white sands on Pensacola Beach Florida.
Locals love the Grand Marlin restaurant in Pensacola Beach, Florida. It lives up to it’s ‘grand’ name and is ranked #2 on Trip Advisor out of 25 Pensacola Beach restaurants.
There’s a story behind the name. The restaurant owners were close friends and business associates for decades before they established this successful gathering place. Their friendship was based on a mutual passion for big game fishing, boats, good food and the Caribbean lifestyle.
The business concept came to life while chasing Atlantic Blue Marlin in the world-renowned fishing grounds of St. Thomas called The North Drop in a 68 foot Hatteras called the Gulf Rascal. Blue Marlins are pound-for-pound the world’s strongest sports fish and the thrill of hooking one is one of the most amazing sport fishing adventures.
The restaurant’s mission statement is straightforward – enjoy great food and drink in a casual fine dining Caribbean atmosphere. It is the perfect place to go for a romantic dinner or special occasion.
The menu features an extensive variety of fresh seafood and changes twice daily based on what’s available. They offer daily specials, such as prime rib dinner, oysters and ale, and surf and turf.
The large classy covered deck overlooks Pensacola Bay and is an ideal place to watch a sunset. The indoor dining room is resplendent with sea faring memorabilia including a 1,228.5-pound Atlantic Blue Marlin that holds North Carolina’s State record.
The indoor and outdoor bars are an ideal place to cozy up with the locals especially during their daily happy hour from 3pm-5pm. Happy hour is the perfect time to experience the Grand Marlin if you are on a budget. Food specials include salt and pepper calamari, baked oysters, cheddar burgers, Apalachicola oysters or BBQ shrimp for only $7.50. Wash it down with domestic and draft beer for $2.50, $3 wine by the glass and $4 call brand liquors. You must sit at the bar to enjoy happy hour specials.
