In 2004, Capt. Tony Eddins fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a charter captain when he and his wife, Kelly, founded Emerald Coast Inshore Charters out of Pensacola Beach.

“After growing up in Gulf Breeze and spending six years in the US Virgin Islands, Tony wanted to share his love for the water and great fishing experiences,” says Kelly.

As a true native of the Florida Panhandle and a lifelong recreational fisherman, Capt. Tony is an expert of our emerald waters. He offers fishing packages with local hotels, including dockside pickup.

“I especially love sharing the fishing experience with children and new anglers,” Capt. Tony says. “We can also arrange with local restaurants for out-of-the-water, fresh on the grill dining.”

(Now, that’s what we call the “Catch of the Day”.)

Emerald Coast Inshore Charters offers inshore and near shore charters from its 22-foot Pathfinder center console powered by a 150hp Yamaha Four Stroke, with power pole, trolling motor and fishing platform. Specifically designed for stealthy maneuverability, she is in excellent condition.

Capt. Tony says inshore fishing in Pensacola can’t be beat. While navigating the Pensacola Bay, Perdido Bay, Santa Rosa Sound, East Bay, Escambia Bay and Grande Lagoon, you may catch Redfish/Red Drum, Speckled Trout, Black/Mangrove Snapper, Flounder, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Croaker or Spanish Mackerel.

You may also view wildlife such as dolphins and sea turtles, so remember to pack your camera.

“Guests need to bring what they would like to eat or drink, as well as sunscreen,” according to the captain. “Rods, reels, fishing licenses, life jackets, coolers and ice are provided.”

The charters are very family friendly for up to four guests, and multi-boat trips can be arranged for larger groups.

Of working on Pensacola Beach, Tony and Kelly Eddins say they love “the wide variety and size of fish, the white sand beaches and emerald water, the sunrises and sunsets.”

They also enjoy meeting and fishing with the locals, who become like family.

Sounds like everything you’ll love about our beach – and Emerald Coast Inshore Charters, located in Sabine Marina at 715 Pensacola Beach Blvd.
